Runners sprint from the starting line at the first Eglin/Hurlburt Cross Country Challenge Dec. 19 at the Timberlake Recreation area near Eglin AFB. The Hurlburt Team won the meet by being the first team to have five runners complete the five-mile course. First, second and third place trophies were awarded to the top finishing squadrons and went to the Air Force Special Operations Command Special Tactics Training Squadron, 6th Special Operations Squadron and the AFSOC headquarters team, respectively.
